This is a fun one!

In fact, it only became possible a couple of months ago!

If you’re anything like me, you struggle with writing descriptions of images according to the principles of Universal Design Learning (UDL). It can be surprisingly challenging. And if it’s an image that really adds to the course module, it’s never a good idea to hit that “For Decorative Purposes Only” button.

We can use Google Bard to help ourselves out!

Here’s how:

  1. Go to Google Bard.

  2. Open a thread.

  3. Click on the plus symbol on the left side of the chat. Add the image you’re trying to describe.

  4. Run this prompt:

Write me a description of this image according to Universal Design Learning principles. Explain how your description of the image is following those principles.

  5. Read through the description and revise.

If you prefer, you can also run a similar experiment through Bing Chat for free.
