The goal is to encourage students to practice collaborative storytelling, and to get a sense of how it feels.

By completing this activity, students will practice:

➢ reading carefully

➢ communicating clearly and directly

➢ collaborative creativity

Here are the steps:

1. Open ChatGPT (to do this, you can click here)
2. Copy and paste these words into the Chat: “Hi, assistant. Act as a co-writer. You and I are going to tell a story, sentence by sentence. We will alternate. I will start with the first sentence. Then, you will create a sentence. Then, I will write a sentence. We will keep writing until I write the words “Complete and put everything together.” After I write “Complete and put everything together,” I want you to reply with a full write-up of our story. This should include everything we have written.”
3. Write with ChatGPT
4. When you’re done, copy and paste the words “Complete and put everything together.” (Make sure you include the quotation marks. That gives ChatGPT valuable information.)
5. Hold down “Ctrl” and “P” to print the transcript. Click on “Save as PDF” and save it to your computer. Then, you’re ready to upload it to the course’s LMS.
